Hi! My name is Lori and I am a mother of two children of whom I homeschool. We work as a team at home with the little ones in our care, and work very hard at making sure they are comfortable and happy while visiting with us each day. I have years of experience having a family daycare, with the interest taking effect after working for four and a half years at a group daycare in my early 20's.
A typical day with a child under 3 consists of :
tonnes of books, singing, dancing, snack, nap (if appropriate), and walks. Motor play with toys, drawing, waterplay, rice table, bubble play and other art projects that are age appropriate are forms of fun for us here in this home.
I am not concerned about messes.. as they represent fun and creative development in each stage of a child's life. I appreciate the idea of using positive forms of language no matter the situation, and to always lift up a child's self esteem. I am flexible and find ways to make the day progress well and consistently upbeat. Love and affection towards children are the reasons for why I enjoy the company of tiny persons. They want to feel good while mom/dad are busy at work, and I intend to make that happen. :) |

Loving pets would be a good thing, as we have two small dogs who love children as well. Our two guinea pigs are caged, one hamster and a bunny outside that we look after each day. |
