Before my decision to open Sense Of Discovery, I was the lead teacher in a private preschool. I have been working with children for 15 years. I am a registered E.C.E. with up to date CPR/First aid training and police background check.
I offer 4 healthy nutritious home cooked meals a day. (Breakfast, a.m. snack, lunch, pm. snack)
Daily curriculum which will include learning the fundamentals to prepare your child for their next educational journey. This will be based on a two week theme where we will learn and discuss certain topics through
-ENGAGING CIRCLE TIME:
Morning calendar
Discuss what were learning for the day
Songs
Building self-esteem allowing the child to ask and answer questions
Learning based games
-ART:
Free expression of self
Basic cutting/gluing
hand manipulations (playdough, flubber, bakers dough, clay)
Beading/ lacing
-MUSIC AND MOVEMENT:
Playing different instruments
Rhythm/rhyme
Songs
-SENSORY ACTIVITIES
Sensory bins filled with different textures that are available to manipulate relating to theme
-Jolly phonics program
-Emphasis on reading, writing and math (age appropriate)
-monthly homework calendars (age appropriate)
-proper eating habits
-toilet training
During this time children will also engage in outdoor activities daily. Community walks, library visits, trips to parks and splash pad during warm months
I provide tax receipts every year.
Ages 18 months - 4.5 years.
