Hi! My name is Jenny, and my Prestwick (McKenzie Towne) Dayhome has 2 full-time spots available starting in September!
We are a very family-oriented, play-led dayhome, with a focus on fun!
Our typical day includes lunch and snacks (breakfast is also available) and drinks. We take part in all kinds of events in the community and surrounding area, and we love going for walks and playing at the park that is conveniently located right across the street. The library is a favorite stop of ours, and we also LOVE going to various play places to play and have fun!
At home, we do a LOT of arts and crafts, singing, music, imagination play, learning games, puzzles and more! I am also fluent in French and English, and we do a fair bit of learning in both languages.
I have been running my dayhome for the last 6 years, and we are very excited to be welcoming in some new friends to our dayhome family. I have current First-Aid (with child/infant CPR and defibrillator training), Foodsafe training and certification, and I have both my police clearance and vulnerable sector clearance.
I am also an avid volunteer both as a leader with Girl Guides of Canada, and with the CBE.
One of my goals in being a child-care provider is to ease the transition between home and care, and to put a parent's mind at ease while your child is in my care. I also keep my numbers small to allow for MUCH more individialized attention, and to allow us to do lots of fun activities both in and out of the house. I specialize in infant and toddler care, but have openings for kids from 6mos to years. Before and after school care is also available (including drop off and pick up at the congregated bus stop at Prestwick Square for Lake Bonavista and Sam Livingston School).
We are a smoke-free home, and we have two sweet, patient cats who are both very acclimatized to kids and who are both up to date on their shots/vaccines.
Please feel free to send me a message to arrange a meeting! |
