Hello Parents,
My name is Sam and I am a mother to an amazing 10 month old boy. This year, I decided to start my own business and have opened up an in-home daycare near McLaughlin and Bovaird. I have been in the field of Child and Youth work for over 7 years and have my advance diploma and degree in Child and Youth Care. I have worked in several different environments such as group homes, recreational centres, daycares, and the school board. I’ve worked with a wide range of ages starting from newborn to late adulthood. I am re-certified in CPR and First Aid. I am a very passionate, hard- working, organized, and trustworthy professional. Although my daycare is newly opened, I do feel that I have the knowledge, experience and expertise to be very successful and make you feel at ease knowing your child(ren) are in capable hands! It wasn’t until I had my son that I strongly wanted to offer childcare services that not only provides a safe, clean (smoke free) and learning atmosphere but also a family like community for your child that is trustworthy, professional, flexible and affordable.
The daycare is offered on the main level of our home with an open concept of the kitchen, dining room and play area. We have a two piece washroom and access to a fenced in yard on the same level. The backyard has picnic benches, a kid’s pool and sand box for your child to enjoy safe, outside play. There is a park, pond and a recreational center (with splash pad) within walking distance.
My mission is to provide a safe, positive, loving and learning friendly environment that will promote and develop your child’s emotional, mental and social skills. Little Dreamers Academy incorporates a well-balanced, structured routine that encompasses age appropriate, ECE lesson plans as well as fun, independent learning, which will help your little dreamer grow to be the best they can be! I provide two nutritional, hot meals and snacks for the day that follow Canada’s food guide as well as the correct portion sizes, potty training assistance (which mimics parent’s techniques), a designated separate room (located upstairs) for nap times/quiet times with a white noise machine, monitor and web cam, age appropriate activities and toys and a minimum 30 minute time slot for physical activities. Some of the indoor activities that are offered are circle time, calendar learning, arts & crafts, storytelling, phonic activities, dramatic play, dance & sing along, sensory activities, learning shapes & numbers and holiday activities.

Mon - Fri 6:30am to 6:15pm
Sat 7am to 3pm (on occasion)

*please note: I do have a well-trained, medium sized dog and a loving cat that will be in a separate area of the home, however there may be slight contact throughout the day.
