I have been offering a safe and nurturing environment for little ones in my home since February 2015. The bright and spacious lower level of our home is used exclusively for daycare and has a full kitchen and separate washroom. We have a large fenced backyard in a quiet subdivision. Everyone in my home can provide clear criminal record and child abuse registry checks, there are no outside visitors during daycare hours.
Our days have a routine but are unhurried, allowing children to fully explore their interests. Daily activities include circle time (reading several books daily, singing), art and sensory activities, and lots of outside playtime are built in to our schedule. Some current favourite activities are play dough, picnics, water play, kitchen dance parties, and being pushed on the swings : )
I provide healthy lunch and two snacks and have a background in nutritional consulting. I give receipts and stay within the legally required ratios for family day homes.
I have over 18 years of experience working with children in many different settings including licensed daycare centres, have ECE education from NSCC, and have current first aid CPR-C certification.
My goal is to provide a "home away from home" for your children.
