Location and Rates:
Christine's Place is located in north Ajax on Cornwall Drive (at Coles Avenue).
The hours of operation are: 7am - 5:30pm. (flexible hours). Please call 905-428-1559 to book a tour of the daycare. My rates are: $35 a day!! $25 for 1/2 day.
Qualifications:
Registered childcare professional and graduate. (DSW)
First Aid and CPR certified.
Years of professional experience working with children and families.
Mom of two.
The Program:
My enriched program provides every child with age appropriate, and educational activities throughout their day. I provide a quality program that gives every child a strong foundation for future learning; while providing lots of individual attention, and many opportunities to learn a wide variety of skills to enhance development.
The following areas are taught throughout the day: physical development, cognitive development, emotional and social development, language, and sensory and motor development:
Physical development. Your child is given the opportunity to partake in activities that help your child to become stronger and more balanced.
Cognitive development. The activities given help your child be able to think and reason. Your child is given the opportunity to learn their letters, numbers, shapes, counting, and colors etc...
Emotional and social development. Your child will be given the tools they need to learn how to manage their feelings, and be able to communicate effectively with others.
Language. Your child will be given activities that involve labelling and answering questions to help your child to gain the skills to be able to understand concepts, and carry on conversations, and tell stories.
Sensory and motor development. Your child is given activities that give them the skills they need to play a variety of sports.I also do fine motor activities which help them develop the skills to write some lowercase and capital letters, to cut, and grasp the ability to use different means to create something. I also focus on the self help skills that are needed to thrive in the school environment. Some of those skills are : washing hands, taking coat and shoes on and off, and toileting.
At Christine's Place I know that each child grows, develops and learns differently. This is why I believe that providing a multi-sensory approach to learning is the key to meeting each individual child's needs! I strive to help each child to gain the skills needed to be successful in their future education. My envionment is safe, full of love, and the fun and learning never ends!

The Menu:
Healthy and nutritious homemade meals are served following Canada`s Food Guide.
