Hi, My name is Jessica Faedo. I have working as an Early Childhood Educator since 2009 and have had the pleasure of working with children of all ages. I have experience working in Infant and toddler care, preschool programs, before and after school care as well as children with special needs.
My beliefs are that each child is born with an intrinsic curiosity toward learning and acquiring knowledge through the world around them. A child learns best when they are engaged in an activity that is of interest to them and expanded on with the help of their peers and teachers. The center maintains a balance of responsive curriculum and teacher initiated activities that help them to learn and develop in their own unique way.
I have a newly renovated fully fenced in backyard with a custom built sandbox. A separate entrance was designed around the side of the house for the parents and our families convenience. We have a large vegetable garden that stretches the whole length of the house for the children to engage in gardening and a variety of science based activities. The main room is designed with toys and activities for children of all ages including blocks, art centre, table top toys, house keeping area, quiet reading cozy corner and more.
Circle time is one of my favorite times of the day. We enjoy singing songs, reading stories, finger plays, as well as introducing different concepts. Children enjoy our FUN FAMILY PHONICS program as well many other preschool based activities.
