ABC Family Daycare is a licensed, quality family childcare that has been in operation since 2007. Our hours are from 07:30 - 17:30, Monday - Friday. We care for children ages 1 through 12 and we are located in Burnaby, BC.
Since we are a family daycare, and are licensed for 7 children, it enables us, the caretakers, to fully focus on each child and their specific needs.
Our facilities are located in a home setting. We have a spacious, fenced-up backyard, where children are able to do gardening,play at the sand and water table,play toy cars, play house, along with many other fun activities!
Play is an important part of children’s development; building language skills, encouraging social interactions, and preparing them for future learning. Our child care program emphasizes learning through independent and guided play, and interacting with others. A variety of activities are included in everyday activities to promote the child’s physical, social, creative, language and emotional development. Some examples are:
Arts and crafts
Table top toy (puzzle, Lego, blocks, etc.)
Circle time to read stories and sing songs
Large muscle activities
Dress up
Games (individual, co-operative)
Water and sand play
Outdoor play
Music
Our days are filled with creative and educational activities. I believe that children learn through play, so our activities are “fun focused”. We learn the ABC’s, 123’s, shapes,colours and participate in various age-appropriate educational activities. Crafts, play-dough, coloring, painting. |
