My name is Kendra and I have 16+ years experience working with children. My resume includes working with Family and Children's Services for 14 years and working with local school boards from 2012-2015. My educational background is a Child and Youth Worker. My first aid/CPR is up to date and I have a current criminal reference check. I have 2 children of my own (3 year old son, 1 year old daughter). They are the main reason that I have decided not to return to the school board and will instead be running my home daycare. I am very excited to watch my children grow and be present for all of their big events and am excited to have your little ones grow right along with them!
At Tiny Tikes your little ones will have lots of learning opportunities as well as many chances to explore various centre's. We will enjoy arts and crafts, building blocks, dress-up, dramatic play and sensory activities as well. While our little ones are napping in the morning, the big ones will get the chance to learn their numbers, letters, manners and work towards their own independence.
Everyday we spend an hour or more outside (weather dependent) in my fenced in yard with various climbing structures or at 1 of 2 nearby parks. We also like to go for walks and explore nature.
Your little ones will be given 2 healthy snacks and a lunch that is based on the Canada food guide.
Naptime is encouraged and happens daily from 1-3 (little ones also have a morning nap if needed).
We have daily music activities and lots of time to practise social skills and play with friends.
