I am an early childhood educator and run a learn through play program. Do you wonder what exactly that may mean? It means that during free play I observe the children's play, their skills and interests. Then I plan play activities for the programmed play period, this means that I take a skill that I have observed that a child needs some assistance with and a topic they are interested in and create an activity for them using that skill. There are five domains and skills that are focused on: Social; Emotional; Communication; Language and Literacy; Cognition and Physical (gross and fine motor).
Full time only.
