I have successfully run a home daycare for over 20 years and 1st Aid and CPR trained. Currently there are 5 children in my care, 1 one year old, 2 two year olds and 2 three year olds. I have an opening in September 2016.
I live in a quiet neighbourhood in the south end of Guelph near Rickson Ridge Public School. Our day is full of love, laughter, learning through teachable moments, story time, puzzles, lego, play-doh, crafts, music, baking, free play, daily outdoor play in my backyard or around the corner to the park, trips by van or city bus to the Ontario Early Years, University of Guelph, Library, Tiny Tot Skate, Andrew Scenic Acres Farm, hikes in the many trails in Preservation Park right around the corner from my house all while considering respect for others, kindness and manners. On our walks, street signs, media signs, cars, trucks, house addresses, etc all become tools for learning letters, numbers, occupations, colours, shapes and of course singing our favourite tunes or telling stories as well as learning to stay close and all together, road safety and consideration to others.
