Mom of two school-aged children with many years of experience in childcare, both home daycare & Montessori.
I'm looking to only take-in 2 children, my daughters will be at school all day, every day, so I will have only 2 kids with me in total for most of the day. I have one 13 month-old child starting in June, looking for another child ages 11-14 months, beginning in June/July of this year.
We spend at least 2-3 hours outdoors depending on the weather, outdoor and indoor yoga, children create and/or observe a home-created insect ecosystem (which will eventually be released back into the wild), plant seeds & care for edible plants, enjoy lot's of free play, sing, dance, visit the local library & near-by play drop-ins, create art, visit the most amazing playground 5 min walk from the house (includes a splash pad!).
We have a cat who watches our bird-feeders and sleeps all day, we get the most amazing birds visiting our backyard, including a couple of owls who come back to nest here every year, a Red Tailed Hawk who hunts local squirrels and many different song birds.
I provide made from scratch meals, some organic, depending on the season (I'm a trained chef), if a child is going through a growth spurt, I feed them on demand in addition to regular meals, will follow parents' requests. Vegan and Vegetarian diets are more than welcome.
You will receive photo updates each day (private blog), which will help you stay connected to your child while at work, I will also try to take a short video and send it to you when I see a special developmental milestone :)
