Description

Hi, nice to meet you!

Thank you for your interest in Small Steps Family Care. I am a 30 year old Mom to a child in kindergarten. I have been providing childcare in my home for just over 4 years, and prior to that I was a full time Nanny. I provide structured care with a daily schedule to give your child a balanced healthy routine in a home environment.

During the day I log your child's activities using the app Brightwheel (made for childcare providers & schools). You can download the app, login at any time and view what your child is doing, has done, and see photos that I've uploaded. I find this is the perfect way to communicate with parents what your child is doing in real time.

I provide part care Monday - Wednesday - Friday in the West End, Downtown. The hours included are from 8am to 6pm. I have availability for 1 child (toddler/preschooler) starting in September.

*The rate is $700 per month, lunch to be provided by parents.

An example of our schedule looks like this:

Sunny day: Circle session (singing, ABC's, days of week etc) - arts & crafts - morning snack - playdoh or free play (dolls, trains, blocks etc) - lunch - puzzles/story time - nap/quiet time - playground - pickup. I like to spend a minimum 2 hours outside, as it is essential for little ones growth.

Rainy day: circle time - indoor play time at the west end community center - lunch - puzzles/story time - nap - arts & crafts or playdoh/modelling - free play (dolls, trains, blocks etc) - pickup.

I close for 1 week in August, and one week over Christmas. I do not provide care on Holidays, you will have to speak to me in advance if you need care on a specific holiday to find out if I am available.

Please get in touch if you think your child would be a good fit, or would like to learn more!

(Clear back check/References/Letter of Recommendation/First Aid CPR/ID copies will be supplied)

A few tips...

Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
