Daycare space: 2 spaces for children 2 years and older. Large and bright basement playroom, with a smaller play space on the main level. Fenced in back yard, and walking distance to three small parks. We have a friendly indoor cat.
About me: I love children. Coming from a big family I have been involved in childcare from a young age and always knew that was my calling. I recently became a mother and my little one turns one in October. I am an RECE and an elementary school teacher (grades k-10). I have worked at a few different daycares and have also supplied in many different elementary schools in Ottawa. Recently I was working an ECE in a kindergarten classroom.
Daycare program: Play-based learning, guided by children's interests and developmental level. Vegetarian snacks and meals are provided, adhering to the Canada Food Guide. I have been a vegetarian my whole life and feel confident in my ability to provide balanced meals for children.
