I am an experienced Registered Early Childhood educator with over 13 years of experience as an R.ECE and one year as an Early Childhood Assistant Instructor. I have diplomas in both Early Childhood Education as well as Child & Youth Work. I am certified in Standard First Aid CPR - Level C, High Scope Philosophy, and working with children with unique and special needs. My home daycare is Ministry agency certified.
Open: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Ages: 1 year old to 3 year olds.
I have a pet & a smoke free environment, a fully fenced backyard for outdoor play. Children will have a fun, safe, & a stimulating environment (Combination of High-scope and theme based learning) to play and learn.
We are located at 1221 Lorne Park Road (Between Indian Road and Lakeshore Road). There is easy access from our backyard to a public playground.
A part of the daily schedule will include gross motor & fine motor activities as well as children will engage in cognitive learning throughout their day. Children will also have the opportunity to develop their sensory skills through exploratory play. During circle time, we will develop story telling, language & numeracy skills.
Given that all children are unique, Little Lorne Acorns will help provide your child with an environment that caters to their individual needs (Through Letter association, Pictorial association etc.).
