I am an ECE with over 10 years experience in both home daycare and
center based daycare. I have 2 young children of my own. Working with young children is not only my
job, but my passion.
Little Boots is an unlicensed family day home. I work out of my home to provide you peace of mind while you are away from your child. As a parent myself I know the worry and struggle to have someone else care for my child. Your child will be welcomed into our home and be treated as family. I provide a loving, healthy, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children while they are away from you. For children, their play is work. I want to help them strengthen their creativity, independence and kindness towards all things.
I consider our family environmentally friendly, we recycle and compost, we use natural cleaners, we limit our use of harsh chemicals and artificial scents, we spend as much time out in the fresh air as possible, We try to buy local food and we stay away from overly processed and packaged foods, as well as altogether unhealthy foods. We are always looking at ways to do more.
I have a dedicated bright main floor playroom, however we use the entire house during our daily activities. I have an extra playspace in the basement, sleeping area upstairs, and we will be using the kitchen for baking and sensory activities. I have a fenced in backyard with slides, climbers and playhouse, we also have a park down the street.
The playroom is stocked with natural materials, and open ended toys. Each week I rotate toys and add new discoveries. We follow some of the Montessori and Reggio Emilio concepts. |
