Profound Play and Learning strives to create a safe learning and care experience for young children ages 1-5 and their families - enabling them to feel confident, heard and appreciated while supporting children’s desire to become life-long learners. Through developmentally appropriate and stimulating learning opportunities for children ages 1 through 5, we will promote the holistic (social, emotional, physical and cognitive) development of each child. We endeavour to have families feel valued and to be a welcomed part of the long-term growth of Profound Play and Learning.
Jessica, proud owner and operator of Profound Play and Learning, has a Masters in Educational Psychology, has taught in the elementary school system in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and in London England, has worked with Daycare Centres in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island as was a member of the Research in Early Childhood Development Initiative Team at the University of Prince Edward Island. Jessica has researched the role of play on the holistic development of children and the efficacy of play based learning in Early Years on Prince Edward Island in partnership with the Early Childhood Development Association of Prince Edward Island and has co-authored two papers on the topic.
Beyond this, Jessica has a true passion and love for children and in her care, your loved ones are treated as family.
