I've worked with children for many years, but more recently in my own home for the last 5 years in Waterdown.
I truly enjoy working with children, and find great satisfaction in assisting with their healthy intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth. All through learning, games, and activities.
I provide children with a safe, smoke/ pet free environment located on the main floor of my home - accessible to the back yard, and bathroom.
While keeping them happy and busy with lots of:
Lessons, and Circle times,
Educational games, and Activities,
Sensory play, Creative arts,
Meditation, yoga
and Fine/Gross motor skills in my backyard for out door fun!
We also go for walks, and visits to the local parks. Furthermore, when the weathers warm we plan for fun outdoor activities .
I actively present sign/ language development skills on a daily basis to make for easier communication if wanted. Example: (all done, more, thank you) Each curriculum is changed seasonally.
The children get fresh, well-balanced nutritional snacks, and lunches followed by; the (Canada Health Food Guide).
Examples:
(Breakfast)
-Milk, or yogurt-based fruit smoothies in an open cup
-Yogurt with pieces of soft fresh fruit
-Applesauce
-Oatmeal/ Cereal 3.25% Milk
(Lunch)
-Sandwich triangles made with egg, tuna, chicken salad, or easy-to-chew meat
-Hummus, whole wheat pita, and soft cooked and cooled -vegetables
-Soft cooked short pasta noodles, cooked pieces of fish, and peas
(Snack)
-Fruit
- Bits & Bites
-Cheese & Crackers
I provide each parent with a daily outline that details their child's day in terms of what, and how much they ate, washroom habits, naps, and highlights of their day...as well as photographs throughout the day!
