Beetle & Bug is a fun, loving, and enriching home daycare located in Barrie, Ontario. We are a clean, smoke free, pet friendly home, with a toy poodle named Willy and a cat named Fergie. I am Level C CPR & First Aid Certified, and have a clean vulnerable sector police check.
I offer plenty of opportunities for fresh air and exercise. Should the weather be uncooperative, children will be able to participate in some indoor gross motor activities, such as jumping in our bouncy castle, climbing and sliding down into a ball pit, and dancing during our Music and Movement sessions.
I am a big fan of encouraging creativity and making messes. The children will have an opportunity each day to create using crayons, markers, pencil crayons, and paint, as well as explore with a variety of sensory bins.
I try to provide a variety of activities each day to encourage fine motor practice and, for the preschool age group, help them work on the skill set necessary for kindergarten, such as practice with safety scissors, penmanship, gluing, and more!
