Hello, my name is Lindsay and I am a mother to an adorable baby boy who will be 1 in April. I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with 10 years teaching experience and over 15 years experience working with children. My experience goes beyond teaching; I have run day camps as well as before and after school programs. I am First Aid and CPR certified, plus I have a clean Police and Family & Children Service checks. Are you looking for a daycare that will get your child ready for school? It is never too early to start teaching our little ones. I am opening a daycare in my home starting in April; I have full time spaces available. I offer a warm, safe and loving environment with age appropriate toys, stories, free play both inside and out. Healthy lunches and snacks will be served daily.
A typical day would look like: (times are an estimate)
7:30- 8:30 – kids are dropped off, free play
8:30-9:30 – songs, stories and learning games (learning numbers, ABCs, age appropriate learning activities)
9:30 – 10:00 – snack time
10:00 – 10:30 – craft
10:30- 11:00 – free play outside weather permitting, or daily walk
11:00 – 11:30- songs, stories and learning games
11:30 – 12:00 – lunch
12:00 – 12:30 – free play
12:30 – 2:30 – nap/quiet time
2:30 – 3:00 – snack
3:00 – 3:30 – free play outside weather permitting, or daily walk
3:30 – 4:30 – child specific learning activities/free play inside until pick up
We have a smoke free/ pet friendly home. We have a fully fenced backyard for free play and indoor playroom for free and structured play.
I am here to help you and your child to have the most positive daycare experience. Your child will be treated as if they were my own. While your child is with me there will always be a way to contact me through, phone, text or email. I believe that team parenting, positive reinforcement and redirection always achieves the best experience for both you and your child.
I am located near sunrise plaza (Activa Area). I provide receipts and references upon request. My daycare hours are from 7:30 to 4:30 (which can be flexible) for $40 per day.
