Welcome to Little Owls of Bridlewood Daycare! I am a loving mom to a wonderful 3 year old boy. I am an experienced elementary school teacher and, with this experience, focus on learning through independent and interactive play, as well as developmentally appropriate activities.
We have a structured but pleasant atmosphere for children to learn. Each day we have circle time with singing/dancing, a craft or activity, story time and outdoor time, weather permitting of course. We have a fenced backyard with a sandbox and lots of outdoor toys. We have bubble blowing, outdoor picnics and lots of fun!
Children are provided with nutritional snacks and meals covering all food groups with fresh fruit and vegetables served every day. Any treats are homemade with nutrition being a key priority in recipe selection.
I believe in positive reinforcement for good behavior and focus on teaching children alternative behaviors. We have a reward system and children receive praise when a job is well done. Redirection also works very well in this environment.
