Welcome!
Just for Kids is a home daycare in the High Park community that started January 2014. Our goal is to provide a home away from home for your little ones with a strong emphasis on educational programming and fostering independence.
There are two adults (including a full time ECE) for a ratio of 1:2.5 kids so that we can give all our little ones as much attention as possible.

Part of Letter 1
We have had the good fortune of knowing Jen since 2013. To our delight, in early 2014 she opened her home daycare and we entrusted her with the care of our first born son, L*** who was 12 months old at the time.
L*** was instantly comfortable in Jen’s care and it didn’t take long for us to see how he was thriving. During his time in her care he made quick progress in many of his milestones, including walking, vocabulary, potty training, and to our surprise even numeracy! It was clear to us that much of this progress was spurred on by Jen’s absolute dedication to the children in her care.
We were constantly delighted by the regular photo and video updates on L***’s daily activities. Jen’s commitment to keeping us apprised was especially appreciated during the first few ‘transition’ weeks while we got used to being away from L*** for the first time.
Jen’s organizational skills were nothing short of astonishing – a healthy variety of weekly menus was always posted in her front hall, her home was always clean and tidy, and each morning the toys were organized and ready for the children. Jen was also exceptionally diligent at alerting us parents of any illnesses among the children; she had clear and consistent policies around this and all other aspects of keeping the daycare safe and healthy.
We would have loved to keep L*** in Jen’s care, had we not moved out of the city. We were indeed quite heartbroken to leave. Liam has been in several other daycares since then and we still feel Jen provided an unparalleled level of care and early childhood education.
Part of Letter 2
Our family has been going to Just for Kids Home Daycare for the past 3.5 years. My son started in April 2014 and now my daughter is lucky enough to attend. I tell my friends and family that Jen is my children’s second mother as she is so warm, caring and loving towards all the children in her care.
Just for Kids Home Daycare is an inviting, cheerful and positive environment where my children have thrived. Jen provides nutritious and wholesome homemade snacks and lunches. My kids learned to be excellent eaters, choosing a wide variety of flavours and textures, under Jen’s care. She provides daily updates to keep me informed of what and how much they are eating.
As a nervous first time mom going back to work after my son was born Jen put me at ease by sending regular texts and emails throughout the day showing me how much fun my son was having and what activities he was participating in. Jen’s home is full of interactive toys and learning opportunities for the children. She has a big outdoor space where the children can play, run, jump, climb and learn. She also takes the children offsite to different parks, splash pads, libraries, and neighbourhood errands.
Personalized drop off and pick up times let us share any pertinent information and Jen is always very accommodating with any changing circumstances. If my daughter is tired or needs an extra hug Jen is always there to customize her childcare and do what is best for each individual child.
We feel so fortunate to have found Jen and Just for Kids Home Daycare. I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone. My children are blessed for having Jen help raise them in their early years. |
