We play with cars, trucks and trains
And puddle jump in the rain
Spring summer winter and fall
Our Splashy suits will do them all
Circle time is really the best
Singing, dancing, reading and then we rest

My name is Tania the children call me
'Nana T'. My husband and I have raised two wonderful young woman over 30 years and together we have opened our home to over 75 families and their young children. I offer an independent (not registered with a licensed agency), semi-structured quality home childcare in a loving family environment on our 1.5 acres following the TVDSB calendar year. Children will learn life skills and early education from play based activities, observation, exploration and adventures indoors and outdoors.
We enjoy life under the apple tree and in our whimsical woods. Our property backs onto an old apple/pear orchard full of trails and adventures. We enjoy the local parks, hiking trails, conservation areas and beaches. We go out daily in all weather enjoying all four seasons. We bake, garden, and craft and do everything a family does together and more!
Daily communication via SECRET FB group for current care families only. This is a quick and convenient way for me to communicate FYI's, memos and reminders to all families at the same time. Sharing schedules, recipes and post daily photos of our adventures with the option of private messaging when needed.
I carry Daycare Liability Insurance and Passenger Coverage on my Honda Odyssey. I have CPR/First Aid and Police check. I actively participate in a home childcare provider support and networking group.
We relocated to the Central Elgin/St Thomas area
August 2017 and we LOVE IT. We look forward to building new relationships and welcoming new care families into our home.

1*PET FRIENDLY HOME*-although no dogs in our home at this time
2**NUT FRIENDLY HOME**we love all kinds of nuts and we bake with peanut butter so at this time we cannot accommodate any nut allergies
3***VACCINATION POLICY*** as it is your parental choice to vaccinate your children or not in Canada it is also my choice as a home-based childcare provider to offer a safe environment for my family and other young children - I choose to provide an environment where all children are up to date. "The Canadian Paediatric Society urges all children to receive routine vaccinations and an annual influenza (flu) vaccine, unless there is a medical reason not to".
4****WINTER VACATION**** Please note although I follow the school year schedule for care we do take an additional weeks vacation in February alternating years between the first week and the last week specific dates provided in the fall of each care year
5***** TRANSPORTATION****I do travel with the daycare children in my 2022 Honda Odyssey. We explore many of the local parks ,conservation areas, trails and beaches. I have 5 Diono carseats children remain rear facing until age 2 . I have completed carseat safety clinics. This is something you need to both aware of and comfortable with. I have driven professionally in the past for Abouttown accessible vehicle division my driver abstract is clear. |
