Hello my name is Fardousi and I’ve been in the home childcare business for 17 years. I have full time spot available in Summer for ages 1 year and older. I provide quality and loving care with a home away from home feel where you and your child feel comfortable and most at ease.
I am first aid and CPR certified and am police record checked as is my husband and our 4 daughters. Furthermore, I have many daycare certificates as well as multiple workshop . I am an RECE (Register early childhood educatior). As you can tell, I love learning and implement all that I learn into my daycare and continue to learn from your children as well.
I provide home cooked nutritious meals following the Canadian food guide, allowing your children to taste many different types of cuisines while eating fresh nutritious meals. Not only do they get to eat yummy meals but they also get to try out and assist in making their meals; from baking muffins to rolling the out their own tortillas. During spring and summer, the children grow vegetables in my back garden and then incorporate them into our meals and also take them home to share with their families. I believe that this way, the children get a better understanding of the food that they eat and are able to see how their food grows and then how to use those ingredients to make a meal.
In my play based childcare,I have created a fun and educational program at my daycare, allowing the children to grow, learn and have fun. We follow a daily routine which includes free play, organized play activities, outdoor play, dress up and dramatic play, circle time along with music time, yoga sessions and story time. Moreover, we have weekly “show and tell” and educational activities focusing on colours, shapes, number and letters. We also visit a bilingual playgroup up to three times a week This is our regular program, but for COVID we had to pause our trips to playgroup, to follow health and safety regulations.)
I am located in the east end near Montfort Hospital, Aviation parkway and CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) in a residential area. My house is smoke free and pet free with a nice backyard with a play structure and front yard, allowing for fun outdoor play. I’m also located 5 minutes away walking distance from our local park.
