My name is Jen. I am an ECE and the owner at Happy Owl Home Daycare, but beyond that I am the proud mother to an energetic, fun-loving 8 year old boy who loves to keep me on my toes.

Happy Owl offers the opportunity for each child to develop physically, socially and cognitively according to their individual learning style. Each child is considered unique in temperament and rate of development. Activities are planned to enhance and challenge particular, distinct individual needs, interests and abilities.
Meals & Snacks
At Happy Owl I provide delicious and nutritious homemade meals and snacks. I believe that children need nutritious food and well balanced diets to facilitate healthy growth and development.
Schedule
A daily schedule is followed to ensure children are given adequate time for free play allowing them to explore, discover and experiment on their own as well as ensuring that they receive adequate rest time for their growing bodies.
Happy Owl is a newly built Home daycare. Children have their own cubbies in the front room of the house. We will also use the main floor of the house for eating meals and doing messy arts and crafts and baking. Downstairs is for morning circle time and free play. We have a completely fenced back yard that the children will have access to however, we most likely be visiting the nearby park and splash pad daily during the summer.

Experience:
I have had the opportunity to carry out 3 placements (A Gym Tale, Rideau Valley Child Care and Tiny Hoppers) working solely in Toddler and Preschool classrooms. I was also a supply teacher a Rideau Valley Child Care for Toddler - Kindergarten.

Admission conditions
If you wish to enroll your child in Happy Owl Home Daycare a nonrefundable deposit equal to one week of childcare costs is due at the time of enrollment. Your childs spot is not secure until your deposit has been received along with the enrollment form.
Must be ok with dogs. We have 2 morkies (1 under 3lbs and the other under 6lbs that are amazing with children. The little one is for my son to help him with his anxiety. Both dogs are hypoallergenic.
