My name is Kristen and I have a few spots open in my home daycare! I have 3 beautiful children, ages 6, 2 and 1. We have a really fun dynamic at home. We do reading and lots of learning through play and experience. I am very involved in all aspects of the day. I also have another lovely lady that comes every day to help out so there is always someone providing attention, interaction and gentle care. In my house we work out any issues or problems through gentle communication and patience. I am a strong believer in exemplifying behavior so we try to provide the most gentle and safe place for kids to explore and grow so they can figure out their individuality.
As for food, Meals are either pescatarian or vegetarian because we don’t eat meat but I make sure to keep snacks and meals very healthy.
Example of daily activities
Outdoor time (backyard with a play structure, gardening in the spring/summer and we have a park within 1 min walking distance.)
Reading time
Lots and lots of singing and dancing
Painting, drawing and crafts
Age appropriate baking and cooking (mixing, pouring, measuring, as well as creative input)
Age appropriate science projects
I studied architecture, so I am always trying to find ways to also teach them how to think and create in a 3 dimensional way (building towers, legos, cardboard projects, etc.)
