To Play Is To Learn Family Day Home in Coaldale has openings for ONE (1) FULL TIME and possibly a part time space depending on the age of the child and hours needed.
To Play Is To Learn Day Home is contracted with an accredited agency, and has been in operation since 2009. I have an been a Early Childhood Educator since 1998. I have my Child Development Supervisor certification (formally ECE Level 3) from the Government of Alberta, current First Aid and CPR, current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Checks. I have attended many conferences, workshops and courses over the years, most recently studying Brain Development and Hanen Early Language Training.
I operate a program that is based on the needs and interests of the child. I offer open ended play and truly believe that children learn best through play. The day home has many options for activities and materials to explore with and we are outside daily. I offer both meals and snacks that are based on the Canada Food Guide and provide mostly homemade foods and family style eating opportunities. We are a pet friendly home (dog) but are not a nut free home, and I also do not offer transportation.
