Dear Parents,
As a Professional I strive to ensure a safe, healthy, nurturing, loving and enriched learning environment for your child. At TLH (These Little Hands), I truly believe that, “These are the formative years”. This is the time when young minds are most inquisitive and learning in an enhanced, stimulating environment will give your child a head start in life. I am committed to striving to provide an inspirational program, while working together with you, the parent, to ensure these formative years are full of great memories.
Every child has a sense of belonging when he or she is connected to others, contributes to their world, and demonstrate a sense of belonging when they:
• feel included and safe in relationships with adults and other children in the early years setting.
• participate fully in ways that are most comfortable to them.
• participate in social interactions, shared exploration, play, and learning with adults and children.
• make smooth transitions between home and early years settings
• begin to show concern and empathy and take action to assist others.
• notice similarities and differences between self and others and respond positively to the uniqueness, differing capabilities, and perspectives of others.
I provide information to parents when requested or needed with regards to their children’s development or any other issues they might be dealing with. I also document your child’s daily activities in a take home memory book, that becomes their very own story at TLH. Suggestions, observations and communication on an ongoing basis will assist us in continuing to grow as a team and will reinforce your child’s sense of belonging.
I have a diploma from Algonquin College in Early Childhood Education as well a certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis. I have over 20 years experience working with small children. Also, Food Handlers certified, health check records up to date and both my husband and I are CPR certified and have current police records check .
TLH believes in the benefits of professional development and therefore I seek all opportunities for growth, through workshops, conferences, courses and seminars.

Admission conditions |

Children are admitted into These Little Hands generally on a first come first serve basis. Prior to enrolment each child must have a medical examination (signed and dated by a physician) and a copy of their UP TO DATE record of immunization, which I will keep in your child's file. This is required by the Health Department, and it is to be updated annually. All forms given to the family including policies, must be read, understood and signed. Once I have contacted you to let you know that a space is available, a $100.00 administration fee is required to secure the space. This fee is non-refundable except in the situation where the daycare is unable to provide the allotted space. I am looking for a Part- time spot. |
