I am a mother of two beautiful girls age 2 1⁄2 and 5 years. I completed my Degree in Early Childhood Studies from Ryerson University back in 2013; I have been working on and off since. I have experience working with children from infant age to school aged children. I love being around children, and the way their curious, little minds work really intrigues me. Like everybody else, I love to spend time with my family. Going away on family vacations are very much awaited in our little family! I envision this daycare to be the second home for the little flowers that enter my garden :)
I believe each child is different and brings his/her own individual, unique and special personality. I believe as an educator and a home daycare provider that it is my responsibility to help each child succeed – emotionally, physically, and cognitively; whether it be through various activities, arts and crafts, or just by providing a warm and supportive environment. My goal in providing high-quality child care for your child is to provide:
- a safe learning environment
- a nurturing environment
- a setting where social interactions are encouraged
- a learning environment: cognitive element as well as the emotional and physical aspect
- making new friends, taking turns, learning to share etc
- learning to be kind and gentle, discipline, learning to be independent - a fun, loving and supportive care
Lastly, I would like to say that one of the most crucial elements to any relationship is communication. The parent and the provider need to have a good working relationship so they can communicate and work together. We need to feel comfortable with one another to be able to discuss matters related to your child’s life. Any sort of information, whether it be major or minor – any changes to routine, special events, death, divorce, separation, moving - should be brought up and discussed. All this information is important in understanding your child’s feelings behaviour, and well-being. |
