My name is Jess and I have almost 20 years of experience working with children. I graduated as a Child and Youth Worker, and I have been an Educational Assistant with the Catholic School Board for 7 years. I have my first aid and CPR training and a police record check. I also have a large range of experience working with children with special needs.
I currently have space for 1 child any age starting in October 2019 from Monday to Thursday. The child would have to be dropped off no earlier than 8:30 because of school run.
I charge $50 per day for a full day.
My hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30-5, I have some flexibility with end time but not with start time because I have a full house until after the school run.
I believe in providing the children with the opportunity to explore and learn within their environment through music, dance, arts and crafts, fine and gross motor activities, sensory play and discovery and imaginative play. I always plan many fun outings and activities including the park, playgroup, library time, open gymnastics play, splash pad, nature walks etc.
My passion is to teach children and I look forward to getting to know your child and introducing pre-school concepts to them when I see that they are ready. I hope to teach your child some basic educational and social skills they will benefit from having when entering kindergarten. I will provide lots of structured and un-structured learning opportunities and activity times where your child will be able flourish and grow in a safe and encouraging setting. This includes, circle times, sensory table, life skills activities, social skills activities, yoga, outdoor play, pencil skills, story time, dress-up etc.
I will provide home cooked meals for your child, including healthy home baked goods and lots of fruits and veggies. Your child will have their own room for nap time, two playrooms to have fun in and a very large yard to play in. My home is clean, smoke free and child proofed. We also have two cats and live in a beautiful neighborhood full of parks and trails. I look forward to meeting you and your family and welcoming your little one into our home! |
