I'm an Early Childhood Educator (Level 3: Childcare Supervisor Designation) and an Alberta Certified Teacher. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts. I've spent a number of years working with children from infancy all the way into the teenage years. After the birth of my son, I was frustrated at the lack of available childcare in the SE area of Calgary. I felt I could do better. I felt I could provide the high-quality play-based environment I know to be paramount to early child development for my son and for other children. I felt that I could offer the nurturing care that they needed as well as the strong educational foundation that I know is necessary for success in the future. I'm a strong proponent of meaningful play-based learning that teaches foundational concepts in math, literacy, science, the arts, nature and in emotional development.
All activities are designed to adequately nurture the emotional and intellectual growth of children at their own pace in a fun and stimulating way. Through planned explorations and hands-on learning opportunities, young children are free to develop into bright young minds.
