Thank you for your interest in A Mother’s Touch Day Care. Let me begin by telling you a little bit about myself.
My husband Eric (Mr. Eric) and I have been married for almost 20 years. Eric has been a wonderful support for me over the years. His schedule is somewhat flexible, and is a backup in case of an emergency.
Koen is currently 21 and has graduated Corpus Christi High School (with Hourours). He has also graduated from Humber College where he received his HVAC Diploma (with Honours) . He currently works part time at Home Hardware as he is upgrading his education. He is a well-mannered young man and I am very proud of him. He interacts with the daycare children from time to time and is a very positive role model.
I also have two four legged kids, Bossko and Meatball. They are a work in progress and are kenneled during daycare hours. They are very loving dogs, but need some time warm up to new people.
I started my daycare 16 years ago as I was unable to leave Koen at six months and return back to work. It was an easy decision for me as I had spent most of my career working with children, and running my own daycare just seemed like the right decision.
Although I have many preschool projects that I do with the children, I do not treat my daycare like a preschool. The majority of the children’s learning is done through play, reading books, crafts and playing with their friends. During the nicer months we spend most of our time outside playing with other daycare families and friends. I do emphasize being kind to others, sharing with your friends and along with teaching ABC and 123’s. Providing a loving and safe environment for your children is my highest priority.
Whether you are changing daycares or starting daycare for the first time, I understand how difficult it can be for both the parents and the children involved. Finding a daycare that meets your child’s needs and at the same time finding a provider that you feel you can entrust with your child can be very emotional. I feel it is very important for the parent and the provider to have a very open and friendly relationship to best meet the needs of the children.
Thank you for considering my home for your child’s learning and development!
Admission conditions
I have two dogs that are in their Kennel during daycare hours.
Always ensure that your child receives quality care by taking the time to investigate the provider and by asking for references! We simply cannot verify the claims of every daycare provider.
