Sarah's Sprouts & Seedlings is an Independent Home Childcare.
Sarah's Sprouts & Seedlings offers a child-led routine inspired by their unique & creative imaginations giving each child to experience many nature-inspired education opportunities while establishing new friendships and so much more!
Lots of outdoor time- gardening, backyard, hikes & forest walks. Outings may include: going the the park, picnice in the park, splash pad, library and community groups.
Teaching each child to be confident, independent, and happy little people with a can do attitude. JK prep, crafts, reading, yoga, mindfulness, music & dance and so much more!
Children have the opportunity to learn through playing and exploring our Organic gardens where we grow fruit, veggies, herbs, and flowers.
Lessons have been inspired by many alternative approaches such as Montessori, Reggio's', Risky Play (supervised) & 'unschooling' that is inclusive of all ages, abilities, and personalities.
Our seasonal menu includes homemade meals and baked goods from scratch with lots of fresh, seasonal produce at each meal. Many alternative options are available including plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian, dairy free, etc.
The provider is experienced with many allergies & intolerances including FPIES and Oral Allergy, including her own allergies.
We are NOT Nut-free!
We offer a calm, caring but fun childcare opportunity that is great for kids with separation anxiety and families wanting a gentle, supportive environment for their child. Mindfulness, Yoga, and lots of snuggles are an example of some of the calming tools we use.
The kids absolutely love their stories and 'Cosmic Yoga' during the wind-down time before quiet time. This is essential for the older children, giving them the opportunity to get their wiggles out and have a quiet, focused activity while preparing them to relax & wind down for quiet time.

Some availability on weekends, over-nights, and evening care by request.

1. Live or Work Locally
2. Love nature/gardening & kids getting mucky/messy, which is almost daily! (or more than once in a day!)
3. Nuts & Peanuts are on the menu and must have been exposed to all age-appropriate major allergens prior to care
5. Must be okay with friendly cats in the home that have free roam. Most of the time the cats prefer to be in their own private spaces away from the children.
6. Not requiring subsidized care
