Discipline Policy In Child
Care Facilities
As a child care facility, it is our policy to adhere strictly to the child care regulation
Act : 27 B.
The foundation of any establishment is based on firm discipline which works as a Guideline upon which the members are directed to carry on their policies.
As a child care facility, we are here to function as a confident place where parents/Guardians could leave their children to us, and we, as substitute parents or guardians,Will make sure that the best attention is paid to these children under our care so that they will maintain and develop a happy and positive attitude and maintain a sense of friendship, love and respect for the people they are in contact with. We need to develop In them, a feeling of willingness to come to the child care and a feeling of eagerness to go back to their parents. We will be aware that the children will not adopt a harsh, hostile or selfish attitude towards others and that they learn and will be encouraged to continue with their positive behavior. They will learn and become aware that certain behavior is
not acceptable and others are, and will become familiar with yes to continue and no to stop doing certain things.
We are also aware that every child is different and therefore will behave differently than others and for the same reason every child needs special attention in order to be taught because children at different stages of their childhood acquire different but natural behaviors and also react differently to the same stimuli. For the same reason and at the same time all children are the same and equal and at any stage in their development, they are ready to be taught and are able to learn.
The licensee and the staff of the child care are the operating elements to teach and direct the children’s behavior toward these desired objectives, and keep it in the main tract constantly, and conscious of any deviations from these norms. The staff, therefore, will be knowledgeable, thoughtful and experienced enough to provide and offer the best, so that the policies are carried
forward.
The licensee and the staff, therefore, need to be able to build a friendly, instructional, and correct relation with every child, based on love, respect, belief, and should be devoid of any behavior that is in contradiction to the above, and that equal attention is paid sincerely to all children and no favoritism to some and ignorance towards others are practiced.
The licensee and the staff will have enough knowledge beforehand of known situations that could mislead children towards inappropriate behavior and therefore adopt policies and maintain
the tools that would prevent the occurrences of such situations, or in cases of already facing such situations, adopting policies to distract attentions from the case in argue to other things or encouraging the older to help the younger. The licensee and the staff will consult certain behavioral situations with parents, or the parents with the licensee in order to adopt a certain improvement policy towards the known situation. In situation which are linked
between the child care and child’s home, continued discussions are to be held and steps to be taken in order to evaluate the progress made or to determine further necessary steps to be taken.
The child care has access to lots of community resources to assist staff and the parents in challenging situations. The staff and the parents are encouraged and advised to consult the appropriate resource center when seeking help to resolve such situations. |
