Nature's Child Home Daycare offers a warm, nurturing and bilingual (French, English) environment for your little one(s), with a strong emphasis on nature-based play, and experiential learning through self-discovery in a safe environment.
Children are offered healthy snacks and home-cooked meals prepared with fresh ingredients and following Canada's Food Guide.
I have a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Yukon College (Whitehorse), and over 15 years of experience working with children in a wide variety of settings, including as:
- a nanny to a family of 6,
- an ECE in a daycare center working with infants
and toddlers
- a sports coach and instructor for children ages 3+
I offer a child-led, play-based program. Children are naturally motivated to play. A play-based program builds on this motivation, using play as a context for learning. In this context, children can explore, experiment, discover and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways.
A play-based approach involves both child-initiated and teacher-supported learning. I will encourages your child's learning and inquiry through interactions that aim to stretch their thinking to higher levels.
I also believe in following a daily routine, giving children a sense of stability and security, while also remaining flexible to each child's needs.
Current First Aid and CPR, criminal record check, and local references available. |
