I have 2 full-time space available starting March 2019.
I am an Independent Home Daycare Provider, providing unlicensed home childcare. I am NOT affiliated with a licensing agency. I take a maximum of three children in addition to my two children.
I am a Mom of two children: 5 year old boy who attends full time SK, and 12 month old girl. I completed my Early Childhood Education degree from Ryerson University, and am a Registered Social Worker. I have many years of experience working with children, youth, and families!
I am interested in promoting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development... what this looks like in practice:
- I offer a play based and emergent curriculum program that is based around the children's interests.
- Children have access to educational and age appropriate toys, books, and games.
- I help the children to solve problems, talk about their feelings, and feel secure.
- Our daily routine includes structured and unstructured play such as circle/story time, art, sensory experiences, dramatic play, STEM, and music.
- We go outside everyday. I’m located close to the Donovan Bailey Trail and parks. I enjoy taking the children out for nature walks.
- When the weather cooperates we will attend Family Story Time at QEPCC from 10-10:30 am on either Tuesday or Thursday.
Breastfeeding mothers and children are welcomed and supported.
I will work with you to support toilet learning if this is something you are working on at home as well.
My home is smoke and pet free.
