Hi😊 I run a well established private dayhome here in Westlock and have over 15 years of childcare experience. 2 of those years spent teaching at the Grant MacEwan childcare demonstration center before moving back to Westlock to raise our family.
*I have a degree in early learning and childcare and up to date infant/child First Aid & CPR. My criminal record and child welfare check are up to date and clear. * I also have my food safety course and experience working with children with special needs
I follow the Canadian food guide for all meals/snacks and provide lots of fruit and veggies choices, whole grains and a variety of familiar child friendly main dishes.
All toys/equipment are sanitized monthly and bedding is washed weekly.
I provide a full time or part time salary rate depending on your childcare needs. I also follow the government ratio guidelines of 6 dayhome children per adult - with no more than 2 children under the age of two and 3 under the age of 3. Special discounts are available for sibling pairs.
All napping infants have safe separate sleeping spaces and proper diaper changing guidelines are followed strictly.
I believe in age appropriate and child led developmental play with lots of room for open ended discovery and growth. We spend lots of time outdoors, explore different instruments and learn basic French (I am fluent)
Parents have access to a private Facebook group where information and daily pictures are shared to keep open communication and document daily milestones.
We are a close knit family and the children learn to respect and appreciate their peers through play.
We enjoy long walks in our wagon train, exploring the pond and a good rainy or snowy day spent inside jumping on the trampoline and playing playdough.
