Hi, My name is Monica and welcome to Gospel Oak Care!
Gospel Oak Care is a home-based daycare located in the Longfields area of Barrhaven. We are in a quiet neighbourhood located very close to parks and we are always looking for more places to explore.
I am a former babysitter, lifeguard and English as a Second Language teacher. I love learning, love teaching and love helping raise children. I have a current police records check for the vulnerable sector and current first aid.
I offer play-based, child-led care to children in my home on a full-time basis.
I offer age appropriate activities including: outdoor play, reading, music, crafts, circle time, science, math, cooking, etc. Children love the open spaced basement where they can have gross motor free play time, and the child-sized house and slide in the backyard.
I offer snacks and meals and have experience with dietary restrictions. I have a child with an anaphylactic allergy and have administered an Epi-pen and am comfortable taking children with dietary restrictions. Foods will only be restricted from the premises on an as needed basis.
I offer a smoke-free home where smoking is prohibited inside my home as well as in the childrens’ backyard play area at all times.
We have a friendly elderly golden retriever that loves being around kids.

Please note, my own children are enrolled in school and although I’m taking Covid very seriously and am very Covid-conscious we are exposed through the school system.
