I offer a large bright basement space, dedicated to the children. The space reflects a Montessori style, well organized with engaging toys and learning activities set out for children to choose from. The space is completely child proofed, includes an eating space with kitchenette and it’s own bathroom separate from personal household. Large fenced backyard with growing child activities (sandbox/ water play). Walking distance to large park, and home is on a quiet dead-end street. Separate napping space away from play area.
These are some of my most valued care provider philosophies that I choose to uphold:
-professionalism
-confidentiality
-respect for you and your child as a unique individual
-encouraging self driven play/learning, allowing children to explore their interests
-engaged with your child with active listening
-open and honest communication with parents and with children
-no “disciplinary” actions (no yelling, time outs, revoking privileges, bribery, guilt tripping, etc.)
-a child does not GIVE you a hard time, they HAVE a hard time, and they deserve to be supported though that
-providing well balanced nutritious foods
-providing a physically safe space (clean, organized, well maintained)
-providing an emotionally safe space, somewhere children are happy to grow, learn and play, where they feel nurtured and well cared for
-creating a unique and adaptive plan of care for every child
-LETTING CHILDREN BE CHILDREN! :D
I have a passion for caring for others, and find fulfillment in bringing love and joy to those in my life and through my work. I believe in a respectful parenting approach, which acknowledges children to be unique, separate people. Respectful parenting encourages care providers to use sensitive observation of children, which proves to us that our babies are competent individuals with thoughts, wishes and needs of their own. I believe it is a care providers job to help children discover and fulfill their own thoughts, wishes and needs. |
