My name is Petra. I am currently filling spots for my day home. Full time, part time and drop in (with 24 hours notice).
I am a nurse by education, have worked in group homes supporting individuals with disabilities for almost 10 years and have worked in my church nursery in both paid and volunteer positions over the years.
I have two children of my own ages 3.5 and 1. I believe that children learn best through play and exposure to opportunities. I have a passion for learning alongside children and watching them grow in various areas.
I create a loving, positive and Christian atmosphere. Included in our days is all or some of the following:
-healthy meals & snacks (always)
-reading
-free play time
-structured play time (playing group games together)
-quiet/nap time
-sensory play
-outdoor play
-educational videos (depending on ages)
