I am a retired 57-year young mother of two and grandmother of five. My husband is in the legal field and is away from the house during the day, which has enabled me to open my home to preschoolers. Why? Because children are precious, and this world is full of trials and tribulations. Let me help you to keep them safe and happy while you get through your work week.
I am currently accepting children from 6mths to school age as well as before and after school care. My hours of operation are weekdays from 6am to 6pm. My current home at Elsemere and Morningside in Scarborough is not big so I can only take on three fulltime. However, part time or before and after school are welcome too. As you can see from my pictures, I am just starting to put together play areas for the children. I will continue to tailor my set up to the needs of the children who come here.
My CPR/First Aid training is up to date as well as a current “Vulnerable Sector Check” through the Toronto Police Department. I am working towards obtaining my license soon. (I am new to the Toronto area)
My daily care includes breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks as well as naptime/quiet time/homework time.
My house is pet free, smoke free, and child safe.
Activities include (but are not limited to): Circle Time, Playtime, Outdoor fun (weather permitting), Arts and Crafts, Fun with Food, Early Learning Activities, Nursery Rhymes, Stories, Toys and Games, Lots and Lots of crayons, Cartoons and occasional Fieldtrips…Oh! And let’s not forget Music and Roleplay.
My fulltime weekly rates are as follows:
6mths to 5yrs: $300/wk
School age: $200/wk
My part time rates (less than 6hrs/day) are as follows:
6mths to 5yrs: $250/wk OR $50/day
School age: $30/day
Need to run errands? Drop-in rates: $20/hr

Admission conditions |

Parents are asked to attend an in home interview prior to acceptance. An information package will be provided which includes my "Daycare Policy Handbook", Immunization Form, Emergency/Health Information Form, Transportation Permission Form, "All About Your Child" Form, my Daily Schedule Form, and finally the Enrolment Contract Form.
All forms must be read, understood, and signed by the parent/guardian before entry.
There is a two week trial period during which either party may terminate the daycare contract. This allows time to get to know each other and to build trust between us. It also allows time to determine if I am a good fit for your child(ren). Your child's happiness is priority.
Termination of the daycare contract requires two weeks written notice. |
