I have been providing home daycare for 20 years. My hope is to create a home away from home. I know how hard it is to leave your children in someone else’s care and I make it a priority that they feel safe and loved. During these early years it is so important that I form special relationships with the children in my care and foster their social, emotional, developmental and physical growth. I offer many benefits of a centre and a home daycare in a home setting. It is important to me that I am always improving and making my home daycare the best it can be.
Covid-19 safety protocols are in place.
We love science, playdough , sensory exploration, loose parts, STEM activities and small world play and incorporate these into our daily routine. While I provide many thematic opportunities(utilize Hipporay and a variety of other programs), there is lots of time for open ended and child guided play.
We have been able to participate in a wide variety of weekly virtual activities with Niwasa and Kiwanis. They have enhanced many areas of the program, including outdoor activities, cooking, science, creative, movement, literacy and more! The children enjoy daily activity centres (dramatic play, science and sensory, blocks and construction, circle time, music and movement, art and crafts, story time with extensions and retell). We have also enjoyed the amazing experiences of raising monarch caterpillars, bunnies, and hatching chicks and ducks. The children love observing ants and worms in their natural and man made habitats. We can’t wait to be a part of these experiences again this summer.
We are outside daily and the children engage in an enriched outdoor program (large fully fenced backyard, climbers, slides, swings, riding toys , mud kitchen, water walls and tables, music wall, sand centre, sensory tables, painting stations, park nearby, daycare garden, monarch sanctuary).
I provide regular newsletters, daily journals and annual receipts. Parents and children alike enjoy my private parent’s Facebook group and more.
I appreciate and value the close relationships that I have with the daycare children and their families. I am so thankful for the close and lifelong relationships that I have been blessed with through caring for children over the years.
My home is smoke free and pet friendly. I have my first aid, CPR and police inspection. Lots of references. For more information, please message me.
