Tender Hearts Keen Minds (THKM), is a warm and welcoming environment, providing home based childcare services for families with infants/toddlers/preschoolers, in the Lisgar neighborhood, since 2011.
Child centred-play based program (Emergent Curriculum) offered by ECE/ECERT trained individual, with 20+ years of experience. THKM focuses on the development of each child, preparing them for success in Kindergarten. Home cooked meals provided in a nut aware environment, with consideration for allergies. A small dog on premises, kept separate from children. Monthly calendar with activities and newsletter. Outdoor time is an important part of the program Play area for scooters, trikes, plasma car, Little Tykes Cars etc. Walks in the community occur daily, weather permitting, trips to close by parks currently suspended. Age appropriate toys and activities. Enhanced cleaning procedures, with updated Covid-19 policy (current experience with covid-19 response cleaning procedures). Monthly receipt and annual receipt provided.
*2 available play areas, 1 on main floor(exclusive use during the week), 1 in basement (exclusive use daily during operating hours). Toys and equipment are exclusive use. Main floor playroom has toys, table for activities/eating and also for naptime. Basement playroom has space for gross motor activities (Little Tykes Cars), Dramatic Centre, easel and floor toys. Please note, area rug has been removed due to Covid-19 guidelines. Main floor washroom is reserved for exclusive use daily, during operating hours.
*Please note, service is provided for 5 children only, with only two of the five under the age of 2, guaranteed. |

A detailed Policy and Procedure package is provided and tours can be booked for after operating hours.
