I am a stay at home mom of three (2 boys and 1 girl). I was previously running a home daycare through a licensed agency since 2019 but have since decided to branch out on my own and launch the opening of Glowing Stars Home Daycare.
Having come from working with an agency, I have the benefit of being throughly educated on all ministry requirements for health and safety, programming, meals, and all other legislation. I have taken these guidelines and incorporated them into my private home daycare.
I strive to provide the highest quality of childcare through my home based environment. Children are encouraged to learn through play and are supported in every aspect of their development.
I provide two healthy snacks (morning and afternoon) as well as a healthy lunch daily. My back yard is fully fenced with a ton of room for the children to play. There are also local parks within walking distance that we visit regularly. At times, we also attend local playgroups/libraries/community events.
Our daily routine is made up of 1-2 hours of outdoor time, structured indoor activities (such as arts and crafts, hand on experiments, age appropriate programming), circle time, and quiet time/nap.
I have a B.A. with Major in Psychology as well as a 2 year college diploma from the Social Service Worker program. I was previously working in the mental health and social services field, with prior experience working with children and youth. I am fully certified in standard first-aid/CPR/AED Level C. I have a police clearance check as well as no record with Brant Family and Children's Services.
I am located in the North end of Paris, ON...also known as Ontario's prettiest town. I absolutely love our little town and the sense of community that comes with it. I enjoy meeting new families and building a professional caregiving relationship.
