Dear Parents/Guardians,
I want to share a little about myself and the vision and philosophy I have for my home daycare. I want to start with my credentials; I am a Child and Youth Worker and have been working in children’s mental health and with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities for the past six years. Prior to that, I worked in a child care center for several years. I am a mother to three boys and am very familiar with the struggles of balancing work and daycare. This home run daycare will be unlicensed by the government of Ontario. This means I am not partnering with an agency (Wee Watch or Sim Care) to obtain a license. To be clear though, this does not mean that I do not have to follow similar rules and regulations, or that care here will be compromised in any way. Please rest assured that the care your child receives here will be second to none. Second Home Daycare will be just that, a second home to your children; a place where they can feel comfortable and cared for when their parents/guardians cannot be with them. I want the children in my care to get the best of both worlds and receive the benefits of center-based daycare and home-based daycare. To achieve this, I have dedicated a room in my house and set it up in a beautiful center-like manner. While we will spend the majority of our time in this room, your child will also have access to the rest of my home as needed. I will provide a variety of programing geared to the individual needs of the children I am caring for. Parents will have access to my weekly plans and programs, along with our weekly menu. I will keep parents updated daily using the HiMama App. The daycare will run Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm. I can be flexible if this needs to change on occasion. Each parent will receive a parent handout that outlines all policies and procedures. This will include a detailed plan on the steps I am taking to keep safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me anytime.
Warm regards,
Second Home Daycare
Admission conditions
Must be okay with pets. I have two cats and a dog (all well behaved).
If you visited or if you're using a childcare provider found on DaycareBear, do not hesitate to leave a review. This will most certainly help other parents!
