Georgia's Street Daycare Philosophy
At the heart of my home-based childcare program is a deep commitment to nurturing the whole child, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Through relationships, responsive environments, and meaningful exploration.
I believe that social-emotional development is the foundation of life- long learning. Children deserve care that honors their emotional world, encourages self-expression, and nurtures empathy, resilience, and confidence. Here, every child are safe, seen, heard, and celebrated.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. I view children as capable, curious, and full of potential. Learning unfolds through play, inquiry, and investigation, and I value the environment as the third teacher filled with open-ended materials, nature, and outdoor experiences as essential tools in our daily rhythms.
Collaboration at the core of my teaching practice. I believe learning is co constructed between children, myself, and families. I value open, respectful relationships with parents and guardians, and honor each child's identity and journey.
Above all, I aim to create a warm, joyful, and inclusive environment where children can flourish-one moment of discovery, one relationship, and one act of care at a time. |
