Early Childhood Educator (Algonquin College Alumni) with over 10 years of experience in the field. Training in a loving and guiding approach called “Conscious Discipline”.
I provide full time quality care for children ages 1-4 years of age. Using all open ended toys and activities, I create a play based curriculum based off the children’s interests supporting their cognitive, language/communication, movement/physical, and social/emotional development.
Time out free zone:
In my care your child will not ever be put in “time out” as it is proven to not be an effective approach to behaviour guidance. Under my care your child will be building the important life skill of self regulation where I help guide them through their emotions, address their feelings and teach them how to take deep breaths using a wonderful tool called the “Safe Place” located in the enriched environment.
Morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided by myself
as well as plenty of open ended art activities and outdoor play.
Children will be provided a nap/ rest time between the hours of 12:30-2:30. Should a child wake, quiet activities such as art or books or sensory activities will be provided to encourage a calm atmosphere.
Admission conditions
Unfortunately I cannot accept children with severe allergies due to the potential of cross contamination during meal preparation.
