Ellie Steps is an educational and loving unlicensed home daycare. It allows families to feel a sense of comfort in leaving your child in my care; a home away from home. I will enhance your child's social skills, motor skills, intellectual skills, language skills, emotional skills, independence skills, and encourage them to have a sense of belonging in a nurturing environment and respectful atmosphere.
I will provide morning naps and afternoon naps for infants and 1 nap time for toddler to preschool children (12:30pm-2:30pm). During nap-time I will space out the children 6 ft. apart; placing each child head to foot pattern.
I will provide full-time and part-time schedule. Activities throughout the day will be outdoor play when the weather permits (am/pm)(gross motor), creative art, dramatic, sensory, science, the children will learn through a play based; theme based centre, exploring through the eyes of the children. This will all take place from the minute children are dropped off to pick up time. I will create special activities/gifts for all parents/guardians birthdays and special holidays. I will provide the children morning am snack, hot lunch, pm snack. All meals will be made and prepared the day of. For the meals, if your child requires restrictions I will provide a different lunch for those children. Older children (3/4 year old's) I will prepare them for JK. Creating different activities, workbooks, sheets to prep the children. Children that show signs of potty training, I will be more then happy to help your child achieve that milestone.
I have 20 years experience in the daycare field. I taught all age groups from infant to school-age. I have been hands on in the classroom, supervised 2 centre's and owned my very own daycare. I am an RECE and a mother to a handsome little boy, have my CPR, Police check and a Food handlers certificate. I am a very social and easy person when it comes to building strong relationships with children and families. My goal is always making families happy.
I have no pets.

My home has outdoor recorded cameras, in the front and back and a monitored security system.
All adults in my house including me are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
In case of appointments/personal days I do have a supply teacher that will step in, so the home daycare is always opened for you and your child. She has worked in daycare centre's as well, with different age groups, ran her own home daycare, worked for me, and even watched my own son. She is a mother of 4 beautiful girls. She has her CPR, police check and also fully vaccinated from covid-19. |

Due to the pandemic, all parents/guardians will be asked to call me prior to the entry of their child/children so I can ask you a series of screening questions regarding potential illness symptoms. Or I can email parents/guardians the questions, which then you would have answer and send it back to me. Once you have answered NO to all questions and than at my front door, I will then take your child's temperature with a head or ear thermometer. |
