I’m a first time mom to an 23 month old. I have 10 years of experience as a nanny (my last contract ended in Jan 2021, I had been with that family since 2014). I also volunteered full time for 6 months at a family resource centre, specifically working in the childcare centre and performing reception duties. I have 5 years of experience working as a cook at a restaurant. I speak English, but would speak basic French to the children as well. I love to do story time, singing, dancing/ exercise activities, arts and crafts and baking. I like to teach the kids about personal hygiene (hand washing, brushing hair, brushing teeth). I also teach manners and courtesy. We would celebrate birthdays and do seasonal/ holiday activities. Every morning we will have circle time to do ABC’s, 123’s, day of the week and weather. In the spring I start seeds with the kids that we will then plant and care for in our big garden planters. We are pet friendly, we have two hypoallergenic cats, who are great around kids and know to leave if kids are getting to be too much for them. Our space is baby proofed and has lots of fun and educational toys and plenty of books. We are on the main floor of our house, which is bright and clean and close to many parks.
I have standard first aid and CPR training, food safety training, registered with the CCPRN, criminal and vulnerable sector checks for both my husband and I. Receipts are given at tax time or upon request. I serve two snacks throughout the day as well as lunch. |
