Hi! If you are looking for safe, reliable, caring childcare for your child(ren), you have found it! My home is a warm, safe and fun place for your child - in a completely smoke-free environment.
I offer healthy, home cooked meals and snacks (no kraft dinner and hot dogs here, like you find at many other home daycares), lots of fresh/frozen fruits and veggies. I bake my own muffins and cookies, so I know exactly what the children are eating!
We have daily circle time, story time, arts and crafts, all based on a weekly theme. Children learn well through play, so I also pay close attention to their individual interests and we learn as we go! I believe in reading at least for 30 minutes a day with children -- in my experience, all kids love picture books! We also have daily craft time, and crayons/markers are easily accessible for quiet moments throughout the day.
We love spending time outside playing in our backyard, on the assorted climbers, slides, Cozy coupe/cars, etc every day, weather permitting. We are also within walking distance to a great city park, and our complex has it's own playground equipment as well. I believe that children need time outside in the fresh air every day, as long as it's not too hot or cold outside!
We do crafts daily - things like playdough, drawing, painting, gluing, fingerpainting, coloring. I usually have children's music playing softly in the background, and it's fun to sing along spontaneously!
Much like a daycare centre, there will be a communications book, and menu plan so you are involved in your child's day to day experiences.
We have a structured day, with room for flexibility if needed. I want to provide an individualised environment for your child to blossom and learn. It is my goal to provide a worry-free daycare, so parents can focus on their work, and not have to worry about what kind of care their child is receiving.
